Under the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 we are required to develop locality plans for places where people experience inequalities.
In Angus we decided on four locality plans to cover the whole county so that everyone has the opportunity to get involved in shaping their own community.
Consultation and engagement over the past three years, and a review of data available at a local level, has identified areas for action in each locality.
We will target our efforts and resources to where they will have the most impact on combating the effects of poverty and inequality. Although a locality covers a wide area, specific actions will be targeted to much smaller neighbourhoods.
