Ready to take the first step into the world of work?
Our Get Ready for Work programme gives you the chance to gain real experience with an employer in a genuine work environment.
During your placement, you’ll:
- work 20 hours per week
- achieve a Level 4 SQA Certificate in Work Readiness
- build skills, confidence, and a strong reference for your future
Some of our employers offer job opportunities at the end of the placement. But no matter what, we’ll work with you to secure a role after you finish—because by completing this programme, you’ll have shown commitment, drive, and gained valuable references.
Who can apply?
You must be:
- 16–19 years old (£60 weekly payments on a training agreement)
- Live in Angus and be able to work in the UK
- Not in employment, education, or training
- Not at school and at risk of struggling to move into work
- Facing one or more barriers to employment
