Angus Council today (7 February 2019) approved Councillor Braden Davy as the new economic development spokesperson.

Members heard a motion submitted by Councillor Fairweather to propose Councillor Davy takes over from Councillor Sturrock’s role as spokesperson.

Speaking after the committee, Councillor Davy said: “I’m looking forward to my new role at Angus Council. It’s the council’s vision that Angus is a great place for people to live, work and visit. As economic development spokesperson, I’m looking forward to working closely with the council’s team, communities and businesses as we work in partnership to achieve this vision.”

“Whether it is bring new businesses or families to Angus, or supporting investment in infrastructure which drives the job creation, or ensuring we make life easier for businesses and individuals, we must ensure we put promoting economic development at the heart of everything we do”
