Angus Schools: Kirriemuir Cluster: Sunday 6 June

As many residents of Kirriemuir will be aware, there has been a number of positive COVID 19 cases identified recently in the town. As a result, some groups of pupils and staff members in Websters High School, Southmuir and Northmuir primary schools are self-isolating.

We are also aware that many people have been wisely taking advantage of the testing facility which has remained in Kirriemuir over the weekend and are still awaiting their results.

When we become aware of any cases in schools, we will isolate the affected classes and inform those who are directly affected. If you have not been contacted directly, your child can continue to attend school as normal.

We also ask parents to make Head Teachers aware as soon as their child is identified as a confirmed case. Please do not send children who are unwell to school.

For all other children, schools remain open.

If you, your child or anyone in your household is unwell, please book a test for the Myre Carpark, Forfar at www.nhsinform.scot/test-and-protect or by calling 0800 028 2816 as soon as possible.

Alternatively, if you have been in contact with someone who has subsequently tested positive, whether you have any symptoms or not, please go for testing, which on Monday is in Stanley Street Car Park, Arbroath from 10:30 – 4pm. This facility changes location across Angus every day. The rota can be found at www.taysidecares.co.uk
