The weather was predictably dreich, but it failed to dampen the enthusiasm of the Angus Community Resilience Forum as they got to grips with how to build sandbags, flood barriers, and learned how best to use water pumps and generators.
It was all part of a training and networking exercise at Forfar Fire Station earlier this week, organised by our Vibrant Communities Officer and delivered by Scottish Flood Forum, supported by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service at Forfar.
Those who came from across Angus shared their own knowledge and experience emergency incidents, their impact and how they responded.
They also took part in equipment demonstrations and gained confidence in maintaining and using the type of equipment they may need as part of their community resilience plan in the event of an incident.
