Comfort Partnership Scheme

Published on Thursday 27 December 2018

Carnoustie businesses have signed up for our new Comfort Partnership Scheme – which provides free alternative toilet provision for members of the public.

The Station Hotel in Station Road and Happy Days Diner in Dundee Street are both providing facilities free of charge for passers-by who are in need of a comfort break. Under the scheme, we provide businesses with a modest annual grant payment to allow people to use their toilets with no expectation of payment.

Communities convener, Cllr Mark Salmond said: “We are very pleased that the Station Hotel and Happy Days Diner agreed to support the scheme. Their participation provides well-timed and welcome relief as our public loos in Barry Road and Station Road are now closed as part of the savings we have had to make.”

Vice-convener of Communities, Cllr Tommy Stewart added: “We are always keen to explore new ways in which we can work closely with our communities to provide services for our people and visitors to Angus.”
