Community Council Scheme Review

Published on Thursday 22 January 2022

Our review of the Community Council Scheme has now entered its second consultation phase and we still want local people and local groups to provide their comments and views on proposed changes.

The review started in November and is being carried out ahead of community council elections, which will take place later in the year.

The initial phase has already seen representation and opinion provided to help shape the scheme’s review, but it is important that we hear from as wide a base of Angus people as we possibly can.

That means we can make sure the scheme meets the needs of Angus Council and all the area’s community councils in the future.

Public consultation phase two starts today and closes on 17 March.

Comments and representations may be made by email to elections@angus.gov.uk or by post to the Election Office, Angus Council, Digital Reprographics Unit, Sylvie Way, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar, DD8 1AY.

All of the representations we receive during the review will be published on our website. See our dedicated web-pages for the Community Council Scheme Review for full details, including the review’s timetable.
