Exam results are in…

Published on Tuesday 6 August 2019

Best wishes to all our young people receiving their SQA exam results today.

Early analysis of performance against expectation is underway across Angus’ eight secondary schools. This includes courses delivered in schools and with partners such as Dundee and Angus College.

We are looking forward to the first release of data in the INSIGHT update in September 2019. Importantly this includes all achievement in the SCQF framework.

The senior phase offer in Angus provides a number of learning pathways. As such the learning journey for each learner can look very different. The purpose of our senior phase curriculum is to provide young people with the skills, knowledge and experiences for life beyond school. SQA national results provide one part of this picture.

Our Children and Learning convener, Councillor Derek Wann said: “This is a day for the young people of Angus to celebrate their achievements after many months and years of study. The contribution of their families and the support of dedicated school staff cannot be underestimated.

We continue to work to ensure that the three year senior phase allows each young person to gain the most appropriate group of qualifications for them.”

All candidates will receive their results by post today (Tuesday 6 August). Candidates who have activated their MySQA accounts, will also receive their results by text.
