Family pandemic payment

Arrangements are in place for ‘Scottish Child Payment’ to be made to eligible families during the week commencing 27 September 2021.

A payment of £160 will be made for each eligible child or young person in P1-S6, attending an Angus Council school.

You will receive a payment if you meet the following criteria:

  • You have a child in P1-P4 who is eligible for school clothing grant.
  • You have a child in P5-S6 who was registered for free school meals on
    27 September 2021.

Payments are expected to be in bank accounts on, or around Friday 1 October 2021.

If you register for free school meals between 29 September 2021 and 1 October 2021, you will receive your payment at the end of October.  Registrations after this date are not eligible for the payment.

Pre-school aged children are not eligible for this payment. The Scottish Child Payment may be available for children under the age of 6. Find out more about the Scottish Child Payment and how to apply  

If you are not already in receipt of school clothing grant or free school meals you can check your eligibility.

 

October Holiday Free School Meal Direct Payments

Families who qualify for free school meals based on financial criteria will receive a single ‘Direct Payment’ of £22 to cover the October holiday period. This payment will be in bank accounts on, or around, Friday 1 October 2021.

You will receive a payment if you meet the following criteria:

  • You have a child currently in P1-P4 who is in receipt of school clothing grant.
  • You have a child currently in P5-S6 who is in receipt of free school meals during term time.

Arrangements are in place for free school meals payments of £22 to be made to families who become eligible for free school meals or school clothing grant during the holidays.
