Footway resurfacing - Forfar

Published on Friday 16 October 2020

Work to resurface an area of footway on Forfar’s Montrose Road is scheduled to start from Thursday, 29 October.

Planned to be completed in one week, weather permitting, the work involves the resurfacing of the north side footway from the music centre to Arbroath Road and the creation of a tactile crossing point on the opposite south side.

The movement of vehicles and pedestrians will be affected during this time (weekend excepted).

Work will be carried out assisted by a one-way lane closure and no on-street parking available between No2 Montrose road west to Arbroath road. Traffic can enter from Arbroath Road and exit at William Street. Westbound traffic will be diverted via William Street and Prior Road. Access to properties will be via the one-way system.

These timings are subject to change due to weather conditions and information boards will be placed on site with any amendments.

Pedestrian access will be maintained to all properties with barriers around ongoing work. Information signs will be in place locally and residents have been notified accordingly.

Thank you for your patience and co-operation during this necessary work.
