Forfar Action Network host art project

Monday 19 July 2021

Artists from across Angus are supporting Forfar Action Network’s summer programme of gala art displaying their artwork throughout Forfar from Friday 16 July to the end of September.

The artwork will feature in businesses in Castle Street, East High Street, West High Street and North Street after it was decided that the Gala Week couldn’t go ahead because of Covid.

Stuart Pirie, Chair of FAN commented, “It should be seen as a rolling programme so we’re  keen that others not yet involved feel they can join in by getting in touch with and shops and artists will be paired up to make as big a splash in Forfar as we can.”

Cllr Lynne Devine, a member of FAN, said, “It’s really coming  together now, although it has been a bit of a last minute dash, but thanks to everyone involved for their enthusiasm to make the town busier and buzzier!”A workshop for young people is going ahead this week, led by local artist Victoria

Wylie and graffiti artists will be painting walls and panels which people will be able to watch in town.  Dates for this are still to be decided but look out for further information.
