Repair works to sections of the historic Inch Park boundary wall and the installation of new railings have been completed at Brechin.
The railings have been installed in a way that they can easily be replaced should any damage occur to them during high river levels. A section of the boundary wall has been rebuilt and strengthened to lessen any further damage to the remaining boundary wall.
The new sections of wall have been built to blend in sympathetically with the existing wall, using stone sourced from fallen sections. The wall is not a part of the flood protection scheme, but complements the park surroundings and allows water to run into the flood plain behind the defences when river levels rise.
