Roadworks are due to be carried out in Montrose from next week.
The works involve resurfacing to the north of the town at the A92 North Esk Road junctions of A92 Charleton Road and A937 Coronation Avenue and Waldron Road.
Work is scheduled to start from Monday 27 September (weather permitting) and will be carried out in three phases. There will be restrictions to traffic movement during the works.
Phase 1 involves drainage, kerb repairs and footway works. It starts on 27 September and last for five days (to Friday 1 October) and will be carried out under lane closure and with temporary traffic lights.
Phase 2 will see the junction resurfaced from Saturday 2 October to Tuesday 5 October. The A937 Coronation Avenue part of the junction will be closed during this phase, with diversions via Newhame Road. Temporary traffic controls will be in place for A92 and Waldron Road.
Phase 3 will take place approximately three to four weeks later and will see road markings and high friction surfacing at pedestrian crossings put in place. This will be supported by temporary traffic lights.
Information notices and barriers will be in place locally in support of the work.
There will be no on street parking available in the area while work is being carried out. Access to properties within the site during working hours will be extremely limited. Pedestrian access will be unaffected.
Public Transport will be affected. Notices will be posted at bus stops to inform of any changes and alternative stop locations.
Thanks in advance for your patience and co-operation during this necessary work. Anyone who requires further information can contact Road Asset Management on 01307 492338.
