Royal British Legion Scotland (Forfar Branch) National Day of Remembrance - Sunday 10 November 2019

The Remembrance Service will be held at St Margaret’s Church, West High Street, Forfar, beginning at 10.45am and will be conducted by the Reverend Maggie Hunt.

All those attending are asked to be seated by 10.40am. Elected members, MPs, MSPs should assemble the Rear Hall at 10.15am.

On completion of the service, the Remembrance Parade will muster in the Myre Car Park at 12.10pm.

The parade, by members of the Royal British Legion Scotland, civic dignitaries, members of the local clergy, Armed Forces representatives past and present and officers and members of the uniformed and non-uniformed youth organisations, will then proceed to The Cross where a short service and wreath laying ceremony will take place.

On completion of the service, the parade will march via East High Street, Couties Wynd and Academy Street to the Royal British Legion Scotland clubrooms for refreshments. A short wreath laying ceremony will also take place at Balmashanner at 2pm.

As in previous years, the Forfar Branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland will also be leading an act of remembrance at the Town & County Hall in Forfar on Armistice Day - Monday 11 November 2019. A small parade will assemble just before 11am for the ceremony. Those attending are asked to assemble at The Cross at about 10.50am.
