Scottish Election deadline looms for new proxy votes

Published on Tuesday 27 April 2021

Anyone seeking a new proxy vote has until 5pm today (Tuesday 27 April) to apply.

They and their appointed proxy must both be registered to vote.

An emergency proxy can still be granted up to 5pm on Polling Day (Thursday 6 May) for anyone unable to vote in person (for example, someone who is required to self-isolate due to COVID-19 symptoms). There's more information about voting by proxy here on our website.
