St Andrew’s Day Holiday and In-Service Days Free School Meal Direct Payments

Families who qualify for free school meals based on financial criteria will receive a payment of £7.50 per eligible child to cover the three day holiday period from 3- 5 December 2025 (two in-service days and St Andrew’s Day holiday). This payment will be in bank accounts on or around Wednesday 3 December 2025.

You will receive a payment if you have a child currently in:

• P1-P5 who is in receipt of school clothing grant.
• P6-S6 who is in receipt of free school meals during term time.
