We've launched a public transport services survey today (Wednesday 14 July 2021). This is to ensure that the council, with the public’s help can improve on how they deliver public transport services in Angus.
The council’s Communities Committee on 23 February 2021 agreed that the Road Safety Member/Officer Working Group (MOWG) would review public transport services, as part of the review of policies, plans and strategies associated with the Road Safety Framework to 2030.
Following a series of focus groups held with community councils, volunteer organisations and others, several emerging key issues were identified, this includes:
- how the council prioritises spend on bus routes and demand responsive transport such as taxi services
- ideas on how community volunteers could help provide local transport services.
The survey runs from Wednesday 14 May until Wednesday 11 August 2021. You can complete the online survey at: Public Transport Services Survey 2021 or visit ANGUSalive Libraries for paper copies, which are subject to limited opening hours.
The Road Safety MOWG will consider the finding from the survey before publishing a report to the Communities Committee later this year.
