Tackling litter along the A90

Published on Thursday 15 April 2021

Our Special Uplifts Team continue to fight the good fight against the scourge of litter along the A90.

The team worked along the northbound verge between North and South Powrie on Saturday and filled 41 bags with rubbish.

We are putting extra resource into litter and fly-tipping clearance, with additional staff and vehicles focusing on littering and fly-tipping clearance, investigation and enforcement.

But litter doesn’t have to be an inevitable part of modern life.

We would appeal to all serial or casual litterbugs to consider the harm caused by their bad habits. Remember, littering is not just offensive, it’s an offence. So please help us to keep our open spaces tidy.

Dispose of any rubbish you have in public bins or take it home and bin it there.

Go to our website for more information on litter and fly-tipping and how to report any incidents.
