A clean-up operation is underway following a fire at a former bingo hall in Forfar on Sunday.
The building suffered extensive fire damage and will be demolished later this week by arrangement of the owner. This will be carried out under strict health and safety requirements, which will see the property demolished and all waste removed from the site.
There is some evidence of asbestos on site. However, these are fibres contained within cement and present very low risk to the public.
The property is secured to prohibit access until demolition takes place and should not be entered under any circumstances due to risk from further collapse.
Queen Street remains closed, except for householder and tyre business access.
