Westway - Traffic flow improvement project

Published on Tuesday 27 August 2019

As we highlighted last week, phase two of the roads project aimed at improving traffic flow around the Westway/A92 roundabout at Arbroath is due to start on Tuesday 10 September and will last for eight weeks.

Traffic management for the works will be situated on Westway only - no traffic management will be in place on the A92/Westway roundabout.

This traffic management will not be in place around the clock as the majority of work will take place without the need for traffic lights. A reduction in lane widths will allow for most of the works to be carried out.

Approximately 120 metres of the Westway will be resurfaced as part of the project. The resurfacing will be carried out overnight (between 7pm and up to 7am). Traffic lights WILL be in place during this time. Access to the retail park will be maintained.

Updates regarding changes to traffic management systems will be issued as the start date for work approaches and as works progress.
