Progress

The procurement authority for the design and construction of Monifieth Learning Campus was approved at committee in August 2021.

The completion of the initial consultation phases and full development of the opportunities and options which should be included in the Monifieth Learning Campus allowed a design brief to be prepared and issued to the development partner and design team.

Various pre-planning public engagement events were held in summer 2022 to review the design proposals. The application for planning permission for the proposed new building was submitted in November 2022, and approval was granted in April 2023.

Following completion of design information and receipt of tender information the project was approved at committee on 2 May 2023.

The construction of the new building started on 29 May 2023.

Progress on site continues well and remains on programme. The building frame is due to be completed in Spring 2024. Thereafter works to enclose the building exterior will commence.

The majority of the main car park and the rugby/ athletics pitch has been completed.
