Scottish Exchange of Data (ScotXed)

We collect and transfer information about teachers and pupils through the Scottish Government’s Scottish Exchange of Data programme (ScotXed). The government and its partners use this data to plan ahead, target resources and share best practice. The data we collect includes:

• numbers of pupils and teachers

• absences and exclusions

• attainment and destination when leaving school

Data is held securely and no information on individual pupils can or would be published by ScotXed.
