Residential care for adults with learning disabilities

The Gables, Forfar, is a residential care home for adults with learning disabilities. If you are interested in a place at The Gables, contact your care manager who will discuss costs, availability of places and arrange a visit so you can see the facilities for yourself. You will be consulted throughout the application process, ensuring that all your individual needs are met.

The Gables can accommodate 10 permanent residents and staffing is available 24 hours to meet residentsā€™ needs. All residents are regularly consulted and involved in the daily organisation and running of the home.

Staff support residents in pursuing personal hobbies and activities and to take part in any activities in the community.

There is a choice of meals provided daily, and menus are regularly changed. Special diets can also be catered for and residents can also get involved in the cooking and preparation of their own meals.

Each resident has their own bedroom which can be personalised.

Residents are welcome to have family and friends visiting.
