Course arrangements

A training application form should be submitted by every applicant - use the links on the Book a training course page to apply online.

It will be assumed that when you apply to attend a course you have the full support and knowledge of your line manager and that you have already undertaken the relevant single agency training before applying.

Successful applicants will receive confirmation of booking(s) by email. Please do not attend a training session without having first received booking confirmation. Those attending without having being confirmed may not be allowed to participate.

Adult Protection Committee training is free of charge. Agencies will be notified of those who fail to attend.

In the event any participant can't attend a course, please advise us at the earliest opportunity so we can re-allocate the place. Contact the Adult Protection Committee by emailing ProtectingPeopleAngus@angus.gov.uk. Non-attendance on a course without prior notification will be intimated to the participant's line manager. Repeated failure to attend may result in future applications being refused.

The closing date for all training applications is two calendar weeks prior to the course taking place.

If we have to cancel a course due to adverse weather, we will make every effort to telephone or email course participants. Similarly, participants should advise the Adult Protection Committee office in the event bad weather prevents their own attendance.

There will be no guarantee of catering facilities at any of the venues. Lunches will not be provided so please feel free to bring your own.
