Harm can include:
- physical abuse
- being bullied or threatened
- being forced or pressured into sexual activity
- having their money or possessions taken
- not receiving the care that they need
Some adults may be more at risk because of a disability, illness or health condition.
Anyone could cause harm. It could be family, friends, paid staff, volunteers, other service users or strangers.
