Plans required

Our guidance notes for applicants (form CC4) gives information on the plans needed for a road construction consent application.

You should refer to the National Roads Development Guide for design standards. You can use form CC9 within the guide as a checklist to ensure your proposals meet these standards.

All plans should:

  • have a title box including:
    • development name
    • developer
    • scale
    • drawing date
    • individual drawing number suffixed with amendment number ABC/123a
  • display a north point if in plan
  • display individual scales if not that shown in the title box

A materials specification for the street lighting should also be included.

The surface water drainage proposal should be in accordance with Scottish planning policy and the Drainage Assessment, A Guide for Scotland ‒ contact SEPA for more information.

You can email the plans to rdsrcc@angus.gov.uk. The signed forms need to be sent to Roads and Transportation, Angus House, Silvie Way, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar DD8 1AN.
