Non-recyclable waste (general waste) - available throughout Angus
Non-recyclable waste (general waste) can be collected in any bin size ranging from 140 to 1280 litres, or sacks if you have no room for a bin.
Charges are based on the size of bin and number of uplifts carried out per year.
Mixed recycling – available throughout Angus
It is the law for businesses to separate materials for recycling.
Mixed recycling can be collected in any bin size ranging from 240 to 1280 litres on a fortnightly basis. Charges are based on the size of bin and number of uplifts carried out per year.
Plastic bottles and containers, glass bottles and jars, paper, cardboard and cans are collected together in one bin.
Food waste – available in all Angus towns
You must recycle food waste if your business produces 5kg or more of food waste (unless excluded by rural location. Check if you are classed as rural with Resource Efficient Scotland)
Cooked and raw food waste is collected weekly in 23 litre caddies or 140 litre bins. Charges are based on the size of bin and number of uplifts per year.
We offer a weekly mixed glass collection service for customers who have larger amounts of glass. All colours of glass are collected together separate from the mixed recycling service. Glass bins are provided free of charge. There is a small annual collection charge.
Cardboard - available in all towns
A weekly cardboard collection is provided for a small annual collection charge to our general waste customers. Cardboard must be free from contamination such as food waste, plastic wrappings, polystyrene or string. For collection, boxes should be flattened and placed inside one large box or in a 1280 litre bin.
Visit our garden waste collection service pages for more information on this service.
There's more information on what can and can't go in our bins available on our household recycling pages.
