Storm repair works next to the Seafront Splash Playpark at Traill Drive, Montrose, are due to be completed tomorrow (Friday 15 March).Completion of this concrete work to help protect the promenade and, a tidy up of the area, will allow this section of road to re-open and for public parking to be available again.

Stagecoach East Scotland are due to make changes to local bus services operating in Angus on 29 April.The proposed changes to commercial and subsidised services are part of a wider SES review that was carried out over the past year and will happen at the same time as changes being made in other local authority areas.

Angus Council officers met this morning to discuss the possible impacts of Storm Isha across the county. There is currently an amber warning for wind and a yellow warning for rain in place overnight, followed by a yellow warning for wind which lasts until Wednesday.

Works to repair the B9128 south of Craichie are set to begin on Monday 8 January and will be carried out in two phases. Phase 1 consists of carriageway repairs and drainage works and is expected to take approximately one week to complete, weather permitting. A road closure will be in place during this work between 8am and 3.30pm.

Temporary repairs to the promenade area at Montrose’s Traill Drive are now complete. Significant stretches of the promenade collapsed as a result of tidal damage, high winds and relentless rain during and after Storm Babet, leading to the roads and footpath’s emergency closure.
