ESOL volunteers

Would you like to help New Scots become more fluent and confident in English, show them aspects of Scottish culture and make them feel welcome in Scotland, while learning valuable skills and becoming more familiar with other cultures? Then why not become an ESOL Volunteer Buddy?

We offer support and training by a DELTA-qualified tutor who has taught English in a few foreign countries, and the role is extremely rewarding as you see your learner(s) progress and start giving back to the community.

Email mcnallya@angus.gov.uk or sherritm@angus.gov.uk and we’ll be in touch. You can also join us every Friday at 10am to 1pm at the Community Café (Strathmore Cricket Club) for a walk, cuppa or light lunch and an informal chat.
