Angus Council Charitable Trust

The Angus Council Charitable Trust provides support to vulnerable people in Angus.

It also helps local groups or organisations with ongoing projects.


Funds available in each ward

The trust is split into seven geographical areas based on the council’s ward boundaries (wards 6 and 7 are combined).

Ward 1 Kirriemuir & Dean

  • Prevention/relief of poverty
  • Provision of recreational facilities/activities
  • Relief of those in need (general)
  • Advancement of education
  • Advancement of citizenship /community
  • Advancement of arts, heritage, culture, science
  • Advancement of arts, heritage, culture, science (war memorials)

Ward 2 - Brechin & Edzell

  • Prevention/relief of poverty Relief of those in need (St Drostan's Court)

Apply only if you have tried all other forms of help. Complete the:

Post the completed form to the address on the form or email it with any attachments to accesslawcommittee@angus.gov.uk

You can also hand in your completed forms at any council office.


What happens next

We will write to tell you the trustees’ decision. The trustees are the 28 elected members of Angus Council. The trustees' decision is final.
