Make a request for information not already published

Before making a Freedom of Information request, please check that the information is not already available on our publication scheme page.

If you have already submitted an information request and want an update on its progress, email informationgovernance@angus.gov.uk.

You can also make your request by:

Using the information request form for guidance will ensure your request is valid.

In some cases there may be a cost to provide information. We will let you know of any costs in advance.

We may ask you for clarification to help us to locate and retrieve the information you are interested in.

Some information is exempt from disclosure. You can find out more about exemptions and making a request on the Scottish Information Commissioner's website.

You can expect to receive a response to your request within 20 working days of receipt.

If you are not happy with our response to your request, or if we have not responded on time, you can ask for a review of the decision.

Complaints concerning requests can only be made to the Scottish Information Commissioner once you have exhausted the council’s review procedure.
