Consultation with taxi operators in the Angus area with regard to the taxi fares review 2022

In terms of Section 17 of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, Angus Council has a duty to fix taxi fares/charges and to review such fares/charges at intervals not exceeding 18 months from the date on which the scales last came into effect. The last set of scales came into effect on 31 August 2021.

Angus Council requests that taxi operators submit proposals with regard to this review, which should be in the form of a monetary increase as opposed to a percentage, no later than 1 April 2022, to allow a report to be submitted to the Civic Licensing Committee for consideration.
