Information

The aim of this public survey was to help our Parking Review Member Officer Working Group to better understand what people want from and expect of car parking in Angus.

We held a focus group meeting recently – inviting representatives of Angus’ community councils, community groups and business groups.

We heard views and opinions on what needs, preferences, and priorities people, retailers, and businesses have for the immediate future of both on and off-street parking.

We are still listening. This survey gave you the opportunity to have your say.

A range of options for the various elements of on and off-street parking has been considered and refined through the Focus Group and the Parking Review Member Officer Working Group.

Options were shown in our survey, and the public were asked to rate each of the alternatives - with 1 being your most preferred choice, then 2, and so on. Our photo gallery below shows the current and proposed signage.

The results of this public survey will be considered by the Member Officer Working Group for affordability. It will then be for the council to decide on any changes to the current arrangements for on- and off-street car parking, as part of the council budget setting in early 2021.

How to have your say

Members of the public were offered the opportunity to take part in an online survey.

Paper copies were also available through our ACCESS drop-in services.
