Taxi fares review: consultation with taxi operators in the Angus area

In terms of Section 17 of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, Angus Council has a duty to fix taxi fares/charges and to review such fares/charges at intervals not exceeding 18 months from the date on which the scales last came into effect. The last set of scales came into effect on 29 February 2020.

Angus Council requests that taxi operators submit proposals with regard to this review, which should be in the form of a monetary increase as opposed to a percentage, no later than 1 April 2021, to allow a report to be submitted to the Civic Licensing Committee for consideration at the earliest opportunity.
