We require 28 days’ written notice of a termination of a tenancy.
The notice must be signed by all tenants of the property.
The 28 days’ notice will begin from the Monday following receipt of the notice. If the keys are not received by 10am on the date of termination then rent will continue to be charged.
If a tenant has died, the next of kin can end the tenancy using the tenancy termination (deceased) form. Please note that you must produce a copy of the death certificate and, if appropriate, proof of Power of Attorney.
In these circumstances, rent will stop being charged the Monday after the keys are handed in.
The house must be left completely empty and floor coverings must be removed.
