Section 167 of the Equality Act 2010 requires Local Licensing Authorities to maintain and publish a list of designated wheelchair accessible taxis and Private Hire Vehicles (PHV).
This page contains the list of designated wheelchair accessible taxis and private hire vehicles licensed in Angus.
For the purpose of taxi and private hire licensing, Angus is divided into four areas:- Arbroath/Carnoustie, Forfar/Kirriemuir, Montrose/Brechin and Monifieth/Sidlaw.

To be licensed as a designated Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle by Angus Council, taxis and private hire vehicles must have a door height of at least 1595mm, width of 800mm and internal roof height of at least 1625mm.
These dimensions are greater than the Department of Transport’s 2022 wheelchair standard of 700mm in width, 1200mm in length, and 1350mm in height.
