Support for families of children aged 0 to 6

As a parent or carer, you are the most important person in your child’s world. We want to support you to enjoy these early years with your child.

We have a variety of groups which offer you the chance to get together with other families and share ideas in a welcoming environment.

All our groups are free if you live in Angus or your child attends an Angus school or ELC setting. The Solihull online courses are free for all parents and carers in Scotland.

Incredible Years

Incredible years logo

This group helps you to support your child’s social and emotional development. We focus on different areas of child development, discussing and sharing ideas for you and your family.

For parents and carers of children between the age of 3 and 6 years old, these groups run for two hours a week for 14 to 16 weeks.

This programme gives practical strategies to help build strong, healthy relationships.

For parents and carers of children from birth to 6 years old. You will be supported to complete an online course or join a group which lasts for eight sessions.

You need internet access to take part in the Triple P online or group programme. There are eight short modules for you to work through which focus on different areas of family life.

For parents and carers of children from birth to 3 years old, these groups meet every week for six weeks. Come along with your child to these fun groups where we share ideas for play activities you can do every day to help your child’s growing brain.

PEEP Learning Together Programme

A fun and friendly group which helps you create the best start for your child using everyday experiences. We share songs, stories, ideas and activities which support your child’s talking and development through play and everyday life.

Come along with your child to meet and get to know other families, learning how what you do at home can boost your child’s confidence and brain development.

For parents and carers of children from birth to 6 years old, these groups meet once a week for six to eight weeks.

Eat Well Play Well

This group brings children, parents, and carers together to prepare, cook and share budget-friendly, fun, healthy food and take part in active play.

This group meets once a week for six to eight weeks.


Solihull online courses

Support, through home visits or phone calls is available for all parents and carers working through a course.
