Help with the cost of living: support, advice and details of our Cost of Living Roadshow

We are offering, with local partner organisations, a range of fun, free/affordable activities for children, young people and families during the October holidays.

Free swimming sessions

For ages 4 to 17. One hour per child per day. For details visit ANGUSalive.

Free Bus Offer

We are able to offer free bus travel for one adult travelling with any number of children throughout Angus (does not include travel to Dundee). Travel offer valid from 1 to 16 October. Available all day every day.

* If your child has an NEC travel card please ensure you show this to the driver.

ASN Taxi Offer

Transport will be available for travel throughout Angus using the approved operators. Please quote "AutumnFun2022" when booking. Travel is available to family members accompanying the eligible child. Contact information will be sent directly to families via Groupcall week beginning 26 September 2022.

Skilz Academy are holding half-day sessions of glow/multisport and DJ activities, with lunch and soup bags to take home.

Arbroath FC Community Trust are organising an October activities camp, childcare, and Fun Friday trips.

Webster Theatre Cinema Experience.


The Hub at Friockheim: bouncy castle sessions with food and free sensory room sessions for ASN.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service at Carnoustie Fire Station: winter jackets swap shop, breakfast, and speakers from support organisations. Monday 3 to Friday 7 October.


Strathmore Community Rugby Trust is holding multi-sport activity sessions with packed lunch for primary school-aged children.

Murton Trust are organising activities and food at Murton.

S-Mart Forfar Grab a bag: free ingredient bags for healthy meals.

Voluntary Action Angus: crafts, games and fun activities with hot food provision.


Kirriemuir Food Hub: free packed lunches available throughout the holiday.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Kirriemuir Fire Station: Open days Monday 3 to Friday 7 October from 11am to 2pm each day. All welcome.


LEGO Club with snack and take home food bag at MYPlace.

Montrose Community Trust and Community Hub: physical activity sessions and food distribution in rural areas, Links Park Stadium, and the MoHUB.

YMCA Montrose (MoHUB): free multi activity (gaming/indoor and outdoor games) with the provision of food.

Montrose Playhouse:

'DC League of Super Pets' ASN relaxed screening, Wednesday 5 October at 11am.

'Tad the Lost Explorer and The Curse of the Mummy' ASN relaxed screening, Thursday 13 October at 2pm.

As part of Angus Council's Autumn fun programme, the Montrose Playhouse has a limited number of funded tickets available and would like to offer families the opportunity to come along to any of our family screenings free of charge. Film times and details on our website.
