Grey bins
You can put the following in your grey bin:
- newspapers, magazines and brochures
- office grade paper
- shredded paper
- junk mail
- phone directories
- catalogues
- books
- envelopes (including those with windows)
Recycling centres
You can also take paper to any recycling centre.
Please don't tie bundles of paper together as string is a contaminant.
The following items go in the purple bin or the nonrecyclable (general) waste skip at Arbroath, Carnoustie, Forfar and Montrose recycling centres:
- hardback books and catalogues
- wallpaper
- paper potato and seed sacks
- shiny/metallic paper
