Glass jars and bottles (any colour) go in your grey recycling bin.
They can also be disposed of in designated bins at recycling centres.
Fluorescent tubes and energy saving light bulbs can be taken to any recycling centre and left in the fluorescent tube container: these items should never be put in your grey or purple bin as they contain hazardous substances.
Other sorts of glass such as mirrors, window panes, fish tanks, old style light bulbs are accepted at Arbroath, Forfar and Montrose recycling centres as nonrecyclable (general) waste.
Heat resistant cooking ware (such as Pyrex) and drinking glasses can go in the rubble skip.
