Prioritising missed rounds

Efforts will be made throughout this week to ensure that households that had their purple bins missed on the week beginning 8 April will receive a collection.

Areas due for collection between Monday 22 April and Friday 26 April, including Carnoustie, are due to receive a collection on their normal collection day as far as possible. Exceptions are:

Rural areas - collections will be made Wednesday to Friday instead (please leave your bin out).

  1. Tealing, Inveraldie, Bridgefoot, Strathmartine and Emmock Road.
  2. Glen Prosen, Pearsie, Kirkton of Kingoldrum and Lunanhead.
  3. Leysmill, Kinnell, Bandoch, B961 from Legston to Redford, Parkhill and Mains of Letham.

Kirriemuir South area - collections will be made Wednesday to Friday instead (please leave your bin out). This includes from Knowehead Crescent to Northmains Road and Southmuir.

Monifieth - Monday's scheduled purple bins collection is being moved to Wednesday (24 April) and Tuesday's collection to Thursday (25 April).

The industrial action has had a significant impact on available resources and, as a result, we cannot complete all scheduled collection rounds as normal. While we are bringing in additional resources wherever possible, it is inevitable that strike action will result in service disruption.
