Jobs and skills

Our skills team provides advice on how to enhance and add to the skills you have developed during your service.

They offer:

  • a team of key workers covering all Angus
  • advice and assistance on a range of employability issues

Call ACCESSLine for more information on 03452 777 778.

Help is also available from Skills Development Scotland. They will help you sort through the many career options, and make sense of the different routes to gaining qualifications. Their interactive web service, My World of Work helps you to plan, build and direct your career throughout your life. It features a careers’ A-Z, course search, jobs search, CV builder and hundreds of video clips of people talking about their job roles.

Education is an option to enhance your employability or career development. Angus is well placed for accessing academic and vocational courses through Dundee and Angus College. The main campus is in Arbroath, but there are satellite sites in four other Angus towns.

Jobcentre Plus is also committed to supporting veterans, service leavers, serving personnel, their partners and families. It provides a number of programmes and services to help jobseekers, those with disabilities and others who may need extra help in finding work.
