Street trader

A street trader's licence is required for where the activity involves frequent movement between locations.

It is a matter for you to determine whether you require a licence to carry on your business. For information, Angus Council have exempted the following types of sales from requiring a Street Trader Licence if any of these are the main part of your business:

• dairy produce
• wet fish
• butcher meat
• greengroceries or general provisions
• domestic fuels

If you intend to operate from the same location for any period exceeding 30 minutes, you should apply for the street trader's licence – fixed pitch.

A street trader's licence – fixed pitch - variation is required to vary existing street trader's licences where it is proposed to operate from the same location for any period exceeding 30 minutes.
