Angus Place-Based Investment Fund is now open for expressions of interest.

The Place-Based Investment Fund could be perfect for a local group or organisation with a community project that could be transformed with funding support.

The next window for the Angus Council Place-Based Investment fund opens for applications on Wednesday 14 June.

We want interested parties with a project that meets the criteria, or who would like to discuss any support for developing their project, to register an expression of interest with us.

They can do this by emailing commengagement@angus.gov.uk with a brief paragraph detailing their project by no later than Monday 12 June 2023

This fund, provided by Scottish Government funding, supports transformational projects that are well-developed and ready to start or projects that can have contracts in place by 31 March 2024.

Funding is also expected to contribute to net zero, well-being and inclusive economic development, tackling inequality and disadvantage, including child poverty, and community involvement and ownership, including re-purposing buildings, maintenance, and repairs, re-allocating external space and community-led land acquisition.

To be eligible, projects must have been shaped by the needs and aspirations of the local communities and match the four key criteria areas of the fund:

· Community-led regeneration; Community involvement and ownership

· Town centre action

· Community Wealth Building

· Net Zero and well-being economy and inclusive economic development

We are looking for Projects that:

∙ Are transformational and ready to be delivered and are either started or will have contracts in place before 31 March 2024.

∙ Have the required planning permissions/statutory consents/licences in place.

∙ Have match funding secured.

∙ Are community focused and have the required community engagement complete.
