Families who qualify for free school meals based on financial criteria will receive a single ‘Direct Payment’ of £7.50 per eligible child to cover the three day holiday period from 3rd December - 5th December 2025 (two in-service days and St Andrew’s Day holiday). This payment will be in bank accounts on, or around, Wednesday  3rd December 2025.

A new pilot scheme expected to increase recycling rates in Angus will launch next month.From Monday 10 November, customers visiting Forfar Recycling Centre will be supported in separating recyclables from their waste at an on-site sorting station, where staff will be available to offer help and advice.

Road resurfacing is set to start in Marine Avenue from Monday 3 November and last for five working days.The road will be closed during working hours. The recommended diversion route is Eastern Road – Panmure Place – Ferry Street – Caledonia Street – Provost Reid’s Road and the same in reverse.
