Four local projects designed to improve communities and places across Angus will share funding totalling £624,000. It is hoped this substantial investment, approved at our Communities Committee on Tuesday (16 Aug), will help in the drive towards economic recovery, increase local resilience and accelerate Community-Led Regeneration.

School Friendly Zones will be in place at Andover, Carlogie, Liff and Southesk primary schools when children return to school on Monday (16 August). Plans to introduce a zone at Letham Primary School have been paused to allow for further discussion with local residents and to try and resolve concerns they have raised about the trial.

Angus Council has reaffirmed its commitment to a new Learning Campus for Monifieth, replacing the existing high school. Approval was given at today’s Policy & Resources Committee while elected members acknowledged that the project costs will increase by £6m to £56m.
