To celebrate International Women’s day on 8 March, Angus Community Planning Partnership have launched Angus Women’s Centre, an exciting and new approach to supporting women in Angus.
Developed following consultation with women across Angus, the centre will bring together information on all services, specialist and generic, that women in Angus may want to access in a virtual space and physical space. The virtual space can be viewed at - angussupportforwomen.org and the physical space is within the Cross in Forfar as part of Voluntary Action Angus hub.
To raise awareness of the resources available to women in Angus, a series of events are taking place on the 8 March to coincide with International Women’s Day:
Break the Bias – Applying a Gender Lens
Red Tent event to launch the virtual Angus Women’s Centre
Harm Reduction for women who use drugs
