Resurfacing works are due to start on Dundee Road, Forfar, on Monday 19 May and last for approximately two weeks.
For safety, the road will be closed between its junctions with Glencoe Brae and Westfield Loan while Tayside Contracts carry out the works. Local access will be maintained.
Businesses will operate as usual, but vehicle access may be extremely limited between 7.30am and 3.30pm. Anyone requiring access/egress should speak to a member of the workforce who will assist.
Appropriate signage and barriers will be in place locally and pedestrian access will be maintained.
The recommended diversion routes are –
Southbound – Westfield Loan - A94 (Glamis Road) - A90 - A932 (Dundee Loan).
Northbound - Dundee Road – A90 Douglastown Junction – B9127 – A90 Forfar junction – A90 To Glamis Road Junction – A94 – Westfield Loan.
Public transport will be affected by this work. Notices will be posted locally at bus stops to inform of any changes and alternative stops.
Bin collections are not affected. If you, or anyone you know lives or works in the affected area and has any special needs, particularly with regards to access or mobility, please contact Angus Council so we can make any necessary arrangements.
