The Angus Alcohol and Drugs Partnership

The Angus Alcohol and Drugs Partnership (ADP) is a multi agency group with representatives from statutory and voluntary sector organisations.

It is chaired by Jillian Galloway, Head of Community Health and Care Services, Angus Health and Social Care Partnership.

The group delivers key outcomes to address substance misuse in Angus; influences the planning and commissioning of substance misuse services and ensures that the provision of these services meets local needs and priorities.


Aims

  • provide strategic leadership across Angus for all agencies working within the alcohol and drugs field and other agencies with an important role to play such as education, housing and leisure
  • provide guidance and direction to the ADP sub groups:
    • recovery and joint working,
    • operations
    • workforce development
    • joint ADP/community planning
    • finance and commissioning
  • monitor the spending of ring fenced alcohol and drugs funding in Angus
  • take decisions on how the ring fenced alcohol and drugs funding should be spent in Angus
  • ensure that service planning for alcohol and drugs is based on needs assessment information
  • decide on responses to Scottish Government requests relating to alcohol and drugs
  • monitor the work and offer direction to the ADP senior planning officer as required
