Food waste is collected from households in towns and villages.
Request a new or replacement food caddy.
All recycling centres accept food waste from householders only. Businesses needing to dispose of food waste should contact a disposal service. Angus Council can collect commercial food waste.
Bag food waste and remove all packaging (such as meat and fruit trays).
Liquids are not accepted.
All cooked and un-cooked food waste is accepted. For example:
- dairy
- meat
- bones
- fruit
- vegetables
- bread
- rice
- pasta
- fish
- tea/coffee grounds
- gravy and soup (please strain first)
- eggshells
- pet food (tinned or dry)
