Employee Benefits – Live Smart

'Live Smart’ is our gateway to a range of employee discounts and benefits to support your personal and family circumstances.

Many of us are facing challenges with money and finances on a day-to-day basis, while also dealing with the unexpected, like a bill for a car or household appliance breakdown and being able to plan and save for the future. With a new and improved package of employee benefits, we hope that some of these offers can help you financially and have a positive impact or your mental and/or physical wellbeing.

The range of benefits we offer can be found in our conditions of service document and many of these are accessed via the myLifestyle portal which you will get direct access to when you work with us.

Apprenticeships and Internships

We are committed in our workforce plan to invest in young people and to work with our partners to create and support Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprenticeship and Internships.

Through the workforce plan we will aim to create opportunities for care experienced young people and young people with disabilities.

This helps us to support and develop young people’s skills and for them to build successful careers within Angus, which in turn helps us with our succession planning.

Find out about vacancies and view our Apprenticeship and Internship Charter on our Modern Apprenticeships page.

Flexible working

We are open to discussions about flexible working with employees.

Where you see the ‘Happy to Talk Flexible’ logo on a job advert, we welcome queries and discussions from applicants about flexible working options during the selection stage of the recruitment process.

Agile working

Many of our roles are advertised as being suited to hybrid and homeworking.

We support this with the tools and technology to help employees benefit from working in a variety of work locations and at home to suit the work that they do and their personal lives.

This includes making the most of our ongoing digital investments and improvements to work at alternative locations.
